Last weekend was the open house at the Econest in Sooke built by KC Natural Homes. I spent a big chunk of this winter doing the plaster, both finish plaster and interior and exterior brown coat (exterior brown coat is hidden under cedar board and batten). Here are some photos I took at the open house, I’m very pleased with how this project turned out!
Masonry stove with bake oven by Jim Meunier of Sunburst Brick & Stone (250-880-0881, www.sunburstbrickandstone.com, sunburststone@hotmail.com). Jim is a very skilled and talented craftsperson with a pleasant presence. He also did the stonework on the exterior walls.
